Canon EF-S 18-200mm / Canon EF-S 18-135 disassembly and focus problem repair.

Hi folks!
lately i realized my canon 18-135mm was showing some problems while focusing (auto) and zooming in or out and there was this sound like something is broken and wiggling inside.

i did some research and found out that the problem is just some loose screw inside which is hindering with the focus mechanism. I made sure that the focus motor is working fine but due to the fear of loose screw i used the lens on manual focus (just to be on the safe side).

As my lens was already out of warranty so getting it fixed without paying wasn't an option for me. i took the lens to the repair guy knowing the problem but he gave me a pretty disgusting quote so i decided to do the repairs by myself.
I wasn't confident at the start though as there are not much information or explanatory videos out there on this matter so i made one for you :).

Note: I have done some research on internet and most of the tech guys said that 18-200 disassembly is quite similar to 18-135, so if you have 18-200 than you can get an idea from this video but i couldn't promise that every screw and assembly would be 100% similar in your case.

htc sensation power button / sleep button problem fix.

Today i am going to tell you solution of weird power button problem and its solution

Problem description:

one fine morning i went out and when i came back my phone wasn’t responsive of the power button sleep wake action, i pulled the battery out and when i put it back in it started by itself, when the phone was on home screen it wasn’t able to put the phone on sleep by power button.

Other symptoms of this problem are, phone taking screenshots by itself when user is pressing haptic back / home key

it got me frustrated as power button seemed fine but the problem persisted.

Solutions that didn’t worked:

NOW YOU SHOULD FIRST TRY THESE then move on (if these doesn’t work then move to solution )

i searched bunch of forums and got no specific reply.

i have used an old credit card to support the battery back, but apparently that solution was meant to work on unintentional restarts not the screenshots and phone being weird

Formatted the phone, formatted the data, sd card, cache, dalvik cache and everything but the problem was their

So now coming to solution

• Remove the cover and battery

• Take a q-tip (ear cleaner) and some volatile solution (in my case i used nail polish remover-as alcohol wasn’t  available :D )

• Screen facing towards you, just by the side of front facing camera there will be plastic covering the power button.
• Use some needle to move the marked area towards you ( careful as you may break the plastic, in that case don’t hold me responsible )

• by moving the plastic, the one portion should come out while exposing the power button.
• Dip q-tip in cleaner and clean the power button and inside of the plastic (apparently there must be some dirt or moisture which is causing the screenshots and abnormality

• After thorough cleaning put the other part of plastic back in by following same above procedure but in reverse.

How to Use Gprs without BIS (blackberry internet service ) plan on UFONE, Pakistan

I personally checked this method on Blackberry curve 8520
Before starting i would like to review the BIS service for ufone takes about 1000 per month and it will let only the POSTPAID members to have the email services and the internet services. i came up with this method after searching really hard, so i thought it would be nice if i should put all the steps together.

Their are two ways, in one way your blackberry browser will not work with the wlan and in other the blackberry browser will work with the wlan and the opera will work with ufone gprs settings. So i recommend you to go with easy and second way.
> First of all you need to have the opera browser installed in your Blackberry, You can install Opera via WLAN, Download opera for Blackberry 8520 by clicking Here.

> Then Goto Main Menu --> Options --> Advanced Options --> TC/IP
And enter the APN: ufone.piinternet  (For other networks like Telenor or Mobilink Use your Native Network APN)

> Restart your device, After restarting make sure that the DATA services are on from Main Menu -->Mobile Network

> Open the OPERA browser and now enjoy the GPRS without BIS.. Cheers
You can login to yahoo, msn, gmail via using the NIMBUZZ messenger for Blackberry.

> You can still use the WLAN on the Blackberry Browser.

Finding Right drivers for your pc.

i hope you will be doing great. today i came up with a common issue of correct drivers installation and finding them online. i am blogging just fot hp laptop drivers for now but i will update the other brands laptop drivers later.

Like me if you have problem finding drivers for your old refurbished Hp compaq 8510p (as it comes with xp and vista drivers) what if you want to install then drivers for the windows 7 !! i hop you will see lot of exclamation signs in the device manager.

First of all you need to download the respective drivers of your model from:
Hp Drivers database, click here to visit it.

After installing all the drivers you need to restart your computer and then see for the malfunctioning drivers in the device manager, after that the easiest way to fix thing is driver robot which can be downloaded from here.

After installation and running if it prompts for a lincense key then use this:
JCCQ-MAKC-KACK-6TSE-BN35

then instead of clicking "Download" click "Exporter" and now you can have backup of all the latest drivers you dont have right into your pc HDD.
