What is Cache memory.

processor cache, the cache used by the computer processor to reduce the average memory access time. cache is smaller, faster than data stored copy of the memory space the next most frequently used. Although access to memory for the majority of memory cells, average latency of memory accesses will be closer to the latency of cache memory latency.

When the processor needs to read or write on the main memory, it first checks whether a copy of the data that resides in the cache. If so, the processor immediately reads or writes to the cache, which is much faster than the read or write basic desktop processors memory. Most modern server at least three separate caches: cache to speed up the search to find an executable statement, a set of data cache to speed up data collection and storage, as well as transfer buffer address (TLB), to accelerate the transition from virtual to physical address, as executable instructions and data. The data cache is usually organized as a hierarchy of multiple levels of cache
